German Romanticism and Women
The succession of Romanticism had a large influence on the emancipation of women, from my point of view. This is connected with the reading of women’s rights and the raising of womanish savers taking their chances on this draw near of emancipation. They notice their feelings and the subconscious, were dealing with death and the night and for that reasons they stayed in close concern with the nature and supernatural phenomena. The works of the writers were fragmental and filled with irony, they wrote around medieval topics and also future issues.
Likewise there had been a renaissance of fairy tales especially because of the Brothers Grimm searching for such stories all over the country. The idol of Romanticism was the sturm and drang which fascinated authors like Joseph von Eichendorff, E.T.A. Hoffmann, and Clemens Brentano. The era was furthermore the key point for the breeding of the emancipation of women because they wrote for the graduation time in literature like Bettina von Arnim or Dorothea Schlegel did.
