Lennie and I started working on a ranch today we arrived late so the boss wasnt truly happy besides he seems pretty place back and fair. We sleep in the bunk house on with a few other guys, Slim, Candy, and Carlson theyre all very friendly and welcoming. We met Curley, the bosss son; hes a piece of work! Tried to start a fight with poor Lennie, hes just a coward; Candy told us that his wife is abit of a tart and that he puts Vaseline in his glove for a soft touch and boasts some it to all the guys on the ranch. When we actually met Curleys wife I understood what Candy meant she was a slag and I knew from the handsome I met her that shes trouble. Looking after Lennie all the mea convinced(predicate) is tough but I wouldnt want it all other way, we have been through a lot unitedly and I care a Brobdingnagian deal astir(predicate) him.
I try my best to protect him and make sure he gains into no trouble, it is very hard work but I dont care along as Lennie is okay. I know I can have a short temper but this is because caring for Lennie all the while is very stressful and Lennie understands this. Anyway I am leaving to sleep now; hopefully I will be able to drift off easily tonight, got a big day of work ahead of me. Until next time.
