I entail I can become a better alert auditor in many ways. I thought the video brought up a great point when the speaker said that we must listen without beingness judgmental. I see many generation if I do not agree with what individual is verbal expression to me I will mentally check out because I do not think it is worth my while. I convey a dominant personality, and I am opinionated, so to me at times I know I enter a conversation with bias or previous notions. I know that at times I can interrupt somebody because I want to stick by a thought or a rebuttal in. It is possible to get so caught up in thinking of your response, that it can deter you from really being present in the conversation. It is important to permit people burnish their thoughts completely before interjecting or speaking. When it comes to circumstances where discussions may get heated, I know that it is important to always show grace, and understanding. Everyone Im sure at some point has had a major disagreement with another person. It is so easy to flak a person based on their beliefs or let emotions get in the way of effective communication.
I think that in order to be a good active listener you should try to leave personal emotions out of the equation.
