Must we go to granddad house? Patrick whined. Hey, you know we subscribe to go all oerseas to work. So will you please stopover whining? his father replied. Patricks parents had to go overseas to work and his fellow and he had to be sent to his grandfather to be looked after. Patrick had forgotten how his grandparents look care. His family had seldom met them when he turned five. He single remembered that they lived right around a swamp. So now they were on their way to grandparents house and had been driving for an hour and they still had non reached yet. Patrick and his brother, Colin, were bored almost to death and was already car sick. They unwounded the side window, put their head outside and took in mystic gulp of fresh air. The trees waved their branches to the gentle breeze as they went past. The solarize shone brilliantly as high sunlit clouds drifted across the cleared blue sky. They were alone on the deserted track and the just now sound beside their car rumbling were the crickets playing their tune. These were not appreciated till the swamp came into the view and along with the stench. It was so unworthy that Patrick wanted to puke there and then. The car get across over the old ricky bridge circuit as it creaked. Patrick gazed out of the window as he watched the tires moving slowly along the bridge.



He gulped and pronto duck back into the car. He crossed his finger and glanced over to Colin. He also wore the same expression as him, nervousness. both their faces were as white as sheet. It wasnt really a high bridge or anything and they would not die if the bridge gave way. Patrick just hated the idea of plunging into the smelly swamp, the sticky remains choking him, filling his lungs and throat. He slumped back and slinked into his seat, praying.
Fortunately for them, they crossed the bridge safely and a huge castle like building loomed into view. An old couple was standing outside wear big smiles that creeped Patrick and his brother out when they saw the car arriving.
