The lack of agnate bonding tends to create anti-social behavior in the unloved, untouched, unattached children. These children look to feel unwanted and unimportant. These statements are not made lightly, or without a large amount of research into their past and reasons for their prejudicial behaviors. These are behaviors I observed and spent many hours service of process at-risk teenages find pro-social ways to overcome.
One very sad, but entire example of the seriousness and the anti-social behaviors that can result from the lack of a loving, caring and interactive parent or the attachment system is a young 13 year old son who I first met after he had ran away from home. He was found hiding in the woods by local anesthetic police and brought into the detention facility where I was a the juvenile probation officer on call. This call is how we first meet and the fable of our work together hookan. During our first meeting, I discovered he was adopted from Russia at age 7 and transported to the United States with 2 younger females. He had been told about a month earlier to his adoption that the girls where his sisters, but until then he had believed he express the thought he was an only child.
The boy had been left with his nanna from birth until age 4, at which time he state some men pulled up to their home came into the house talked to his grannie then picked him up and they drove him to the orphanage. He reported that he never saw his grandmother again. He did report that charm living with his mother he would be sent to the docks to beg for rotten potatoes or whatever kind of food he could get just so they could eat. This young man stated his story to me very plane and matter of faculty, without tears or anger.
