Writings Citing on Capitalist System

Marx was horrified by the capitalist program as it exploited the popular worker by alienating him inside benefits of his only property, his labor. On Marx's analysis, the capitalist, in pursuit of the almighty profit, will pay his workers only what they require so that you can survive; in this, each individual worker's labor is systematically undervalued, as that labor is worth much more towards capitalist than it is on the laborer. The surplus value with the labor is retained by the capitalist and reinvested inside system, allowing that system to expand and in turn exploit additional workers. This phenomenon, named the labor theory of value, provides the foundation for bourgeois exploitation in the proletariat working class (Gregory & Stuart 69). The alienation in the worker is near-total. As mentioned by George Ritzer, the worker becomes alienated not only from his "productive activity", that is, his labor, but also inside the item of that labor, from his fellow man, and from his own capacity as a conscious man or woman (51-52).
