For the youth, it is peer pressure that is responsible for making young individuals begin consuming alcohol. For some individuals, the first experience of alcohol consumption is usually driven by curiosity. Such individual take alcohol just to satisfy their curiosity of what an individual feels after consuming alcohol. As had been stated earlier in this essay, the problem with alcohol begins when it is consumed inappropriately or in excess.

For instance some people tent to turn to alcohol when they are stressed instead of dealing with the issue that is causing them to be stressed. Such individuals are more likely to over consume alcohol especially during the period when they are undergoing a stressful moment. The effects of overconsumption of alcohol are numerous but the most obvious is that it makes one to become irresponsible. The other major effect of alcohol, especially for the very strong spirits, is that it begins to negatively affect the liver.
